Raw Armageddon Card (2012)

It’s PPV time! Since Ingrid has been busy the last couple weeks I’ve stepped up to do the PPV card as well. This is the last Raw PPV card of 2012 so I hope you all enjoy it and have a happy New Year!

Opening Segment/Interview: Naya Lopez is shown standing beside backstage interviewer Alexander Monehan with a confident look on her face. Alex starts off the segment by introducing the Divas Champion and reminding those watching that Naya has held the title for an impressively long time. That she is only one month away from making history and gaining bragging rights over holding the Divas Championship for 365 days. He then asks her how she feels tonight and wonders if she thinks she’ll be able to get to that one year as champion goal. Naya looks at Alexander not amused with his choice of questioning. She states that of course she’s going to be able to be a champion for a year. Hell, she’ll be champion for the next ten years. She’s the best divas champion in WWE history and no one, especially a Bella Twin, is going to take her championship away from her.
The Bellas then show up behind Naya and Brie grabs her shoulder, forcibly turning her around. Brie demands that Naya repeat what she just said but this time to her face. Naya smirks then restates, without a problem, that Brie is nothing compared to her and that if Brie of all people thinks she’ll be handed a title tonight she’s only kidding herself because no one takes the twins seriously. Especially when all they do is a stupid switcheroo in order to win. She then warns Nikki that if she dares to interfere in her match she’s going to regret it. Naya walks off to end the segment.

Match One: United States Championship – Amazing Red (c) vs. Trent Redding

Before The Match: The commentators announce during Trent’s entrance that Ally Dreamer has yet to be found after being snatched by an unknown person. They also note Trent’s stressed mindset going into this match.
Winner: Amazing Red

Backstage Segment: Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes are talking to each other and smirking as they walk around the arena, preparing for their match. Cody says he hasn’t seen or heard from Shawn Michaels all day, that he might not even be in the city Armageddon is taking place tonight. Chris laughs then rips off the tape he was using to wrap his wrist. He says he’s not surprised. Shawn is way past his prime, he’s all talk but no action right now in his career. He might as well just retire and sail into retirement like the washed up old timer that he is. A man then shows up behind the two and is welcomed with a huge pop from the crowd watching on the titantron. Shawn Michaels puts his arms around their shoulders then grins. Washed up old timer? He asks. Is that the best insult Jericho has nowadays? Shawn suggests that maybe Jericho is the one past his prime. Chris says he’d better watch his mouth before they decide to give Shawn a little preview of the ass kicking he’s going to receive tonight during their match. Shawn simply laughs then says they’d better match their mouths because he didn’t just find one person to have his back tonight, he found two. All of a sudden Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes are thrown against the wall. The camera zooms out to reveal The Motor City Machine Guns standing over them. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin take a second to let the crowd cheer over their presence before they look at each other. They then question each other, who’s going to be Shawn’s partner tonight? Shawn has a “oh shit” look on his face before he slowly creeps away.

Match Two: Divas Championship Match - Naya Lopez (c) vs. Brie Bella

During the match: Nikki tries to do the switcheroo but Brie pulls her out of the ring right after she does it. They argue for a bit before Brie gets back in the ring, wanting to prove herself as a competitor. Naya attacks Brie for a few minutes before Brie counters and hits her finisher. Brie gets the three count, ending the match in a surprise upset.
Winner: Brie Bella (New Champion)

Before The Match: Sabin/Shelley/Michaels/Rhodes/ and Jericho are already in the ring. Shelley and Sabin have yet to pick which one will be wrestling tonight so they decide to play a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Shelley ends up winning and tags with Shawn while Sabin stays in the corner.

Match Three: Shawn Michaels and Alex Shelley vs. Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho

During The Match: The returning General Manager Eric Bischoff comes down to the ring to stand ringside. Right when Shawn is about to grab the win for his team Eric gets on the apron to distract the ref. Sabin knocks Eric off the apron but the distraction gives Chris the ability to sneak in and hit a Codebreaker on Michaels. He then pulls Rhodes over Shawn and gets out of the ring before the ref can notice his actions.
Winners: Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes

Main Event: WWE Championship - Batista (c) vs. The Rock
Winner: The Rock (New Champion)

Post-Match: The Rock quickly gets out of the ring after his win and celebrates with the fans that are at ringside. A livid Batista begins to pace around the ring yelling and shaking/kicking the ropes. The ref makes the mistake of trying to calm him down and end ups getting thrown out of the ring. Batista then eyes The Rock as the new champion makes his way up the ramp. He promises that this isn’t over, not by a long shot.
