SmackDown Armageddon 2012 Card

All right SD crew, the last PPV card of 2012. All results are determined through a randomizer. If you have any questions of concerns, please PM me. Be creative, have fun! We're hitting Rev's road to Wrestlemania next and I'm going to do my best to start some new feuds after this and involve everyone that I can. If you have any ideas for your own character that hasn't had much of a storyline yet, please feel free to PM me because chances are I'm still working stuff out myself and would love the input!

Backstage Segment: Christian Cage is shown backstage, looking very serious as he finishes putting athletic tape on his wrists. The camera zooms out to reveal newly returned Mikhail Ballack standing opposite him. Christian tears the last of the tape strip from the roll and sets it aside. Finally, he looks up at the man before him. He tells him he appreciates him accompanying him to ringside tonight and is glad he's back. He continues, saying he and Mikhail may not know each other very well, but he's always had respect for Mikhail and hopes the feeling is mutual.

Mikhail shrugs and tells Christian he has nothing against him and can respect all he's accomplished with his career so far. He adds that he's happy to make sure he receives a fair title shot tonight by making sure Triple H cannot interfere. But, he wants to let it be known, that he came back to the WWE for one reason only, to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion, and if Christian should win tonight, they won't find themselves on the same team any longer.

Christian smirks and tells him, he can handle that if that's the case. But for now, all he wants to focus on...is beating Randy Orton.

Match One: (Triple Threat for the Intercontinental Championship) John Morrison (c) vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. vs. Evan Bourne

Backstage Interview: Newly promoted backstage interviewer Alexander Monehan is shown in the interview area. Once he is given the signal, he greets the WWE Universe and asks them to welcome his guest at this time, WWE Women's Champion Soraya O'Toole. They spend the first few minutes going over the highlights of Soraya's long career before he asks her why she chose Lita to be her final opponent tonight. Soraya briefly describes her history with Lita and tells him that there are two women she's faced over the years that have been her best friends and worst enemies, one is the already retired Trish Stratus and the other is Lita. Soraya says she and Lita have been friends more often than not and there is nobody else in the locker room she would want to pass the Championship off to should she lose tonight.

The camera suddenly zooms out to include Lita in the shot, who has since joined them. Alexander holds the microphone out for her and Lita thanks Soraya for the kind words and wishes her well in her career outside the ring. She said that while she wants to win the WWE Women's Championship tonight, she thinks the most important thing would be for them to put on the match of the year tonight and bring the house down because its about time the Badass Diva and the Queen of Extreme got the recognition they deserved.

Soraya readily agrees and the two women head off together for their match.

Match Two: (WWE Women's Championship) Soraya O'Toole (c) vs. Lita

Post Match: A very emotional Soraya embraces Lita warmly, who poses with her one last time before leaving the ring. Soraya mounts each turnbuckle to pose with the Women's Championship and takes a final bow in the ring. She heads backstage to raucous applause and 'please don't go' chants. She bows one last time for them at the top of the ramp, blowing the crowd a kiss before disappearing backstage.

Backstage: Asst. GM Audrey McKenna is shown smiling at the monitor as she watches Soraya disappear backstage. She casually comments that it was a good way for her to go out, on her own terms and to retire as a Champion. Though now she has to figure out what to do with a vacated title. She looks over her shoulder to ask what the other person in the room thinks.

World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton looks up from where he had been tying the laces of his wrestling boots. He gives his girlfriend a forced smile and assures her she'll figure it out on the next SmackDown show. He reminds her right now they should focus on his title match which is up soon.


Backstage Interview: Alexander Monehan is once again shown backstage in the interview area where he welcomes his second guest of the night, the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, Christian Cage. Alexander asks what Christian's mindset is going into this match.

Christian says that he knows that at one hundred percent, like he is tonight, he knows he can beat Randy Orton one on one. But, he's got two wildcards to watch out for tonight. Triple H has rightfully earned all his accolades over his storied career and you can never turn your back on him in something as important as this. So he's got to keep one eye on him during his match against Orton. The other is the newly returned Mikhail Ballack who made no secret of his desire to become World Heavyweight Champion as well. And he wonders if he can trust him to have his back tonight. He tells Alexander there's only one way to find out and they're about to...next.

Main Event:(World Heavyweight Championship) Randy Orton (c) w/Triple H vs. Christian Cage w/Mikhail Ballack

Post Match: Mikhail and Triple H wind up brawling during the match, their fighting winds up taking both superstars backstage. As Christian celebrates his hard won victory, it is cut short however by the sound of the Shield's theme music. Both the crowd and Christian react in confusion, before the three superstars become visible as they descend the stairs through the crowd. After climbing over the security barricades, they proceed to attack the new World Heavyweight Champion mercilessly, beating him down and finally powerbombing him through the Spanish commmentator's table. Audrey McKenna sprints down the ramp after the damage is done. She reprimands the three Superstars backstage, looking almost furious at their actions. They simply smirk at her before retreating. Audrey calls down the trainers to tend to Christian as the screen fades to black.
