Out and About

Ellie was backstage at tonight's PPV, walking around on her crutches with this dress on. It was one of the few times she was allowed to be out and she wanted to take advantage. Her leg and neck still weren't at one hundred percent, but with her physical therapy she was improving little by little. She figured she would just walk around and see if anybody was there yet. As she was walking, a crew member was rushing and bumped into her crutch, knocking it down and they ran off with a quick, "Sorry!"...Ellie wasn't able to really balance herself so...."timberrrrr..." she muttered to herself as she felt herself falling.

"So do I get a cookie for saving you?" Ally joked, grabbing Ellie by the elbow to keep her from toppling over.

"You get cookies, money and whatever else you want." she chuckled as she managed to get herself balanced. "Thank you."

"No problem, a fall could totally set back your recovery, and I need you back." Ally grinned. "I didn't know you were hanging out tonight?"

"Seriously." she chuckled. "Ah yeah, technically I'm not supposed to be out, but I've been working hard and managed to convince Mike to let me come and see people. I can't take being at home anymore."

"I don't blame you. I would go insane if it were me. I don't know how you aren't." Ally joked lightly. "Still, I'm glad to see you. How's your PT going?"

"I'm getting there." she snorted. "It's going alright. I get frustrated with it from time to time, but I'm getting better."

"I'd be frustrated too." Ally agreed. "Did they give you a time frame on how much longer you have to do PT?"

"Most likely for five more months." she said. "But I'm horrible and want to push myself." she chuckled.

"You're not horrible." Ally assured her. "I'd be the same way."

"Well, try your best not to get injured like ever...it sucks."

"I'll try, but it happens to even the best of us at some point." Ally gave her a sympathetic look. "But hey, at least you're in the PT part, right? And not like, going into surgery then recovery."

"That's true." she said. "I guess I just don't look at the positives enough." she chuckled.

"You're injured, you're allowed to look at the negatives and indulge in self-pity." Ally chuckled.

"Yeah well tell that to Mike." she snorted. "He doesn't seem to understand that."

"Need me to throw some rocks at him?" She offered half jokingly.

"I don't think it's necessary this time." she chuckled. "You'll probably have to throw them at me."

"No way, my loyalty lies with you." Ally chuckled. "So what's causing the issue?"

"Me and my injury." she snorted. "He's been making sure I'm okay and everything, but it's...overbearing for me. I feel like I'm being treated as a newborn and can't do anything." she said. "So lately, I've been snapping at him."

"Hovering. Yeah, that would get annoying real fast." Ally nodded in agreement.

"It really is." she said. "I mean, I appreciate it and know he's just worried and cares, but I need him to back off a little."

"Especially since you're so independent. He needs to let you do things for yourself. You're injured, not an invalid." Ally shook her head.

"Exactly! Finally somebody understands."

"Should have married me instead." Ally joked.

"I should have. We'd make an adorable couple." she chuckled.
