Adding to it

Daren was mentally frustrated. Though him and Mel hardly ever saw eye to eye, they've always defended each other. A recent visit to his sister Melina struck a match in him after hearing the story she told him, and seeing the picture she showed him. Daren was furious. Melina didn't recognize the chick but Daren did. He walked through backstage. To his luck he heard Rachel was at that week's house show with her dad and he thought he could talk to her about it. He walked toward catering where he immediately saw the familiar hot pink hair "Rachel!" he called out approaching her from behind

Rachel was grabbing a water bottle from the cooler when she heard her name called. She recognized it was Daren's voice so she smiled but when she turned around and saw the look on his face her smile quickly turned into a frown. Did he lose a match? Did someone piss him off? Did she piss him off? So many questions entered her mind but she didn't have any answers to him so she asked the first thing that came to her.

"What's wrong?" Rachel asked.

Daren took a deep breath when he got to her "Your aunt Nikki that's what's wrong"

Rachel raised her eyebrow.

"What about her?" Rachel asked.

"She kissed Morrison, and had the audacity to send Melina the picture of it"

"Do you have the picture?" Rachel asked.

"Not on me, but I've seen it. And I know Nikki's face"

"How do you know she initiated the kiss? Morrison could have kissed her." Rachel pointed out.

She never liked Nikki and knew bits and pieces of her past but family was family so she had to defend her until Nikki was proven guilty.

"Yeah Rachel. Morrison is dumb enough to take a picture of himself kissing another girl and sending it to his girlfriend. Next excuse?" he bluntly replied

"Maybe he wanted to get out of the relationship, ever thought of that?" Rachel asked with a slight glare, not liking Daren's attitude.

"Yeah another brilliant excuse! Trust me, if a six foot man wanted to end it with a five foot three girl, he is man enough to do it with words"

Rachel burst into laughter.

"People around here have been questioning Morrison's manhood for the last few years, your point is invalid." Rachel said.

"Oh please, I don't give a fuck what people says about him because most of the people that talk don't know him. But I'm sure everyone in the lockerrooms are well acquainted with that aunt of yours" he fired back

"And I'm sure they could say the same about your sister, I suggest you start with Dave Batista. He knows her best." Rachel said with a mean smirk.

Daren glared and shook his head

"For so long all you've ever said about Nikki is she's a bad person, she doesn't get along with the family, all that crap and now out of all times you want to defend her ass"

"She's still my family and I have every right to defend her when someone is making up crap about her. If you want me to believe it show me the proof, otherwise it's just a bunch of bs. Nikki, yes, can be a slut but don't try to put something on her when you don't even know what really happened." Rachel said.

"Rachel you know I'm the last one to call Mel a saint, but I know for a fact she isn't lying. But, you're right.. You stick by your family... I'll stand by mine" he shrugged

"And how do you know that? Were you there when Nikki and John kissed?" Rachel asked.

"I didn't have to be"

"Actually you did and I don't know why you are even getting in the middle of this. Can't your sister fight her own battles?" Rachel asked.

"Because when someone you love and care about is hurt you try your hardest to get to the bottom of where that pain is coming from... Not all of us can ignore the shit and be as cold and heartless as you Rachel"

Rachel glared at Daren.

"I'm not cold and heartless you asshole. I'd be there for someone if they were in pain but there's a difference between doing that and fighting their battles for them. When people start butting in it causes more chaos than needed, excuse me if I'm smart enough to realize that and you're not." Rachel sad.

"I'm not fighting her battles. Going to Nikki would be fighting her battles. I didn't even have the intentions of arguing with you I came to you for support. But, I guess that was a big mistake"

"You came to me hoping I would trash my own family. I'm sorry about your sister but I am not going to do what I feel is wrong just because you want me to." Rachel said.

"Not bash her but be there for me. You know Nikki. She's done this shit before, so why all of a sudden when it comes to my sister you want to defend her ass"
