New Best Friend

Emily and AJ were in one of the rings at the PC. They had decided that AJ was going to teach Emily how to bump a bit... just in case anything happened on TV and Emily had to take a hit or something in the ring. Emily wasn't going to lie, she was a little nervous about learning to bump. She proceeded to hit the mat on her back, making sure she slammed her arms on the mat to make the impact sound a little bit louder. "Like that?" She looked up at AJ as she rubbed one of her arms.

AJ looked down at Emily, after watching her take the bump. "Just about." she said. "I think one more would do the trick but you basically have it down. Give me one more and then we'll practice with me as your opponent."

"Okay!" Emily nodded, getting up. She took a deep breath and then hit the mat again. "How's that?" She asked AJ, not bothering to get up from her position on the mat.

"Perfect!" AJ said excitedly as she clapped for Emily.

"That was good, I agree." Amy (aka Lita) said as she watched the two. "How about you two plan out some sort of sequence so Em can be prepared for any future altercations, just in case of course. There's no guarantee they'll have you take any bumps but it's better to be safe than sorry."

Emily sat up and she nodded. "Sounds good to me. And thanks Amy, coming from you, that means a lot." She told Amy, smiling.

"Yeah, can you convince her to be a wrestler?" AJ teased, nudging Emily.

"There's no convincing her." Amy laughed.

"It's never going to happen." She giggled. "So, how do you think we plan this?"

"Well I can't go too above and beyond." she said. "But I can do a simple crossbody from the middle rope." AJ told her. "How about I irish whip you into the corner and then run towards you. You can move out of the way and then from there I'll do the crossbody."

"Sounds good." Emily nodded and got up to get ready. "Please don't whip me too hard." She said to AJ jokingly.

"My muscles have a mind of their own, I can't make any promises." she joked. "Ready?"

"As I'll ever be." Emily nodded, feeling slightly nervous about it.

"Okay, I'm going to irish whip you now." she said as she took a hold of Emily's arm to push her into the corner.

She nodded and let AJ grab her arm and once she had pushed her, she ran and hit the turnbuckle. "Ow." She winced when she got in the corner.

"You okay?" AJ asked.

"Yeah... I think. My back hurts a little." She told AJ. "I'll be okay though. Let's keep going."

"If you're sure. Just let me know if it's too much." she said before running over to where Emily was.

Emily moved out of the way, trying to push the pain out of her mind and to focus on what was about to happen.

As they discussed, when Emily moved, AJ was able to stand on the middle ropes and then turned herself around. "Crossbody." she called out, letting Emily know she was going to jump off and onto her.

"Ready." Emily nodded as she prepared herself to catch AJ.

AJ jumped off the rope and onto Emily, trying her best not to land too harshly.

Emily caught AJ and fell back onto the mat before letting out a small cry when she felt a small twinge in her back. "AJ. I'm sorry but you need to get off me a sec." She told AJ.

"You've got it bud!" she said, getting off of Emily immediately after Emily told her. "Are you okay?"

"Em, what's wrong?" Amy asked, surveying the two. "Do I need to get the medic out here?"

"It's my back... I felt like a twinge when I hit the mat." Emily explained as she slowly sat up, reaching behind to hold her back. "It hurts... but I don't think it's too bad." She said, wincing a bit.

"Hm, well I think you should go to the trainers to go get checked out. I don't like how you're wincing and it's better to be safe than sorry." Amy said.

"I'll go with her." AJ said.

"Please do. You both can head on over and I'll check in in a few.'

"Okay." Emily nodded as she moved to the ropes to try and help herself get up. "Can you help me get up, please?" She asked AJ.
