"Yeah!" she said. "I went to jail for DUI and I had to go in for 100 days." she said. "He didn't even pay me out! But I only served 9 days but that's not the point. It was horrible."

"It was horrible." she said. "I was put on suicide watch because some girls said they wanted to kill me. They made me take out my extensions. I wasn't allowed any makeup and they fed me this terrible food, which I'm sure had like a billion callories in."

Derek blinked in surprise. "Those are things that were the worst about being in jail? No make up and calories?"

"Yeah." she said. "I looked horrible. Plus they treated me like an animal!" she said. "I wasn't allowed a bath, just a really dirty shower. I didn't even have a bed! It was just this little mat thing. And none of those police officers did anything I asked. It was like hell."

"I know." she said. "I felt like killing myself. And people don't even take it seriously!" she said as she turned a corner.

"It's like hello! I'm Lauren fucking Sky! And now you know why my dad is a douchebag." she said. "He made me go through that when he could have just paid for me to be released."

"Well, I'm not trying to take his side." Derek said first. "I'm totally on your side. But I'm just thinking, though it was dumb on his part, maybe he thought he was teaching a lesson by leaving you in there. Totally not cool of him to do, but that might be what he was thinking."

"As fucking if!" she said. "Teaching me a lesson would be cutting me off and taking away my car like what he has done now. MAKING me go to jail is just disgusting. I mean would you send your kid to jail if you could prevent them from going?"
