Preparing for Battle

Battleground had started and Dean knew he wouldn't be on for about another hour at least. He decided to use his free time to prepare and get in the right mindset. He found an empty area in the hallways and did his pre-match workouts. When he was finishing up some push-ups, he saw a pair of feet in front of him and looked up at the person. "Yes?"

"I've decided you're my on road Derek." Harper informed him with a grin. She had been on her way back from the ring for a short break, and to swap the SD card on her camera when she had come across Dean in the hallway.

"He travels with Raw now, and since we get along so well, ie we can drink together and you'll have no problem telling me if I'm being a hussy or not, that you're his substitute." She continued. "I'm afraid you might be stuck with me."

[I had to lol]

"Hm..." he said as he finished his push up and then got to his feet. "And if I disagree?"

(lol, they're going to be the best of friends and probably get in a ton of trouble)

"You can't disagree. I buy you alcohol, you adore me." Harper smirked. "And I give Colby candy and make him leave you alone. I'm pretty much awesome."

[lol Derek is going to be like WTF? Especially when they call him and Joe to bail them out of jail hahaha]

"These are all true. Fine, I am your new Derek." he said. "Which congrats to you because I am one hunk of a man. You'll have such great arm candy from here on out."

(and go cry to Colt after their therapy works out lol)

"I'm smart enough to only surround myself with good looking men." Harper smirked. "So thank you for agreeing to be my new Derek, I promise plenty of shots in your future. Especially after you win tonight."

"Well then I'm looking forward to the after party now. I planned on just banging my wife but we can all have shots and then I'll go with her." he said. "...I'm pretty blunt by the way."

"Well now you bang your wife after having shots in your system." Harper laughed. "And blunt is good. I am also blunt, I embarrass my brother because I was born without that filter people use when they say what they're thinking." She joked.

"...what's a filter? Never heard of that before." he smirked. "I just like making people feel uncomfortable."

"Why haven't we been friends long before now?" Harper grinned at him. "That's one of my favorite things too."

"Because you were blinded by "attractive" men like Derek and Joe. I was too ugly for you to notice me." he joked.

"No I wouldn't say that was why. You weren't the most social person when you first entered the company, remember? And Derek's well Derek, I can objectively say he's attractive but I wouldn't jump him." Harper chuckled. "Joe, heck yeah had we both been single when we met I'd have been all over that You however, were kind of the enigma of the group when we first met, all serious and grumpy. Now you're out of your shell and we can see the cool guy you really are. You've always been physically attractive, just kind of unapproachable at first. Plus I don't think any sane person wants the drama of hitting on Lauren's man." She joked.

"Hm, I suppose I can agree with that." he said. "And you're damn right about not wanting the drama of hitting on Lauren's man. Her crew would attack."

"They scare me." Harper admitted. "I so like being on their good side better!"

"They're not all that bad." he said. "Maybe that's cause I don't see them often though."

"I try to harbor some kind of love for everybody and hope they love me back." Harper chuckled. "But those girls, it seems like they either like you or they hate you, there is no inbetween. And if they hate you...good luck."

"Exactly why I stay away and why I try not to get in trouble. I don't need them reporting shit to my wife."

"Smart man." Harper told him. "Keep it that way."

"Believe me, I'm trying."

"Well, if you ever need to run away to keep it that way, I will always run to the nearest bar with you." Harper joked.

"Alright, so that means we'll be at a bar every night then." he joked.
