Awkward Run In

Alessia had stayed after from practice to work on her cardio and running the ropes. She stopped in her tracks when she saw who was in the ring. She stared at Brett Dibiase working out in the room. She took a deep breath walking over to him with a small smile. "Hey Bretty." She said staring at him giving him a nervous smile, "Long time no see."

(guh had to, sorry)

Brett recognized the voice immediately and stopped what he was doing to look over at her. "Alessia? ...is this a joke?"

"Stalking you. I always told you, I was the best stalker, you haven't noticed me following you around for like.. over a year." She joked uncomfortably to lighten the tension. She walked over to him hesitantly. "Do I get a hug or a punch to the face, cause I deserve a punch to the face.. you know for telling you i was going to move to Mississippi.. getting myself fired, freaking out, flying back to New York, treating you kinda like dirt after that. Plus side is my Parole Officer says he has high hopes for me." She said with the joke at the end.

He sighed. "Well, I'd never punch you." he said. "I'd give you a hug, but I'm wondering if you'll be gone right after that." he said.

"ouch." She said quietly. "Okay I deserve that.. I did get myself fired twice.."

(look at me getting your brett active ha)

"And then ran off on me...twice." he said.

(finally my Brett, lol. I was going to whore him out xD but he's just too cute for that *cuddles him*)

"Three times if you count after high school." She muttered. "Brett, you know me, You know I get my attitude in the way and have this no filter broken and then I get all ashamed i screwed up and depressed and go into hiding. That's who I am. But I'm working on it.. seriously. Billy got me the job, and he put me on ECW cause people I know were there. For like.. stability.. and shit."

He nodded. "I hope it helps you then." he said. "...and even though I am slightly giving you a hard time, I'm around if you need anything. You know I've always been there for you."

She looks at him rubbing the back of her neck. She felt completely helpless and awkward around, which had never really been their relationship. But since she did the screw up, she really wasn't that surprised. She wet her lips and looked at him again, "I know.. I'm sorry, by the way.. for everything. I hope you are doing better now."

He nodded. "Well, I'm still anti-social." he said. "Can't say I'm really doing much better." he snorted.

"Well of course you are." She said with a small laugh leaning against the ring. "You never did anything unless I forced you to. That or Ted did."

"Yeah." he chuckled. "It's pretty bad. I think I must be scared of people or something."

"Could be.. couldn't be that your girlfriend kept disappearing on you and you figured not to get close to people." She said jokingly.

"Hmmmm, nah, I'm just scared of people." he snorted. "Especially in this company. People are vicious."

"Ah, so you are wimping out then?" She asked more in a statement way. She hops up sitting onto the ring. "I'm sorry.. but.. I don't get how you are talking to casually to me. Like how are you not ignoring me?"

"It appears so." he said, then shrugged. "I could never be one to ignore people, no matter how bad they hurt me. Actually, I've been pretty good at ignoring Eve." he said thoughtfully. "..but anyway, yeah. I could ignore you if you want though." he said as he turned to look the other way.

She paused trying to figure out if he was messing with her. She looked now puzzle, "Wait.. what? Now you are ignoring me?" She seemed to have lost her touch on reading him lately. "And wait, why are you ignoring eve?"

"It was a joke." he snorted as he turned to face her again. He then shook his head. "I've been ignoring her for years." he told her. "We dated buuuuut then pretty much told me she had some feelings for somebody else, so...yeah."

Alessia raised her hand up like she was in class, "I never did that, me! I have always loved you. I got one bonus point." She exclaimed like a little kid, "even if I have like negative points and they are bout to kick me off jeopardy."

He chuckled. "Maybe that's why I can't ignore you. It's too hard to. I mean, I can't stand here and say that all is good between us, but I'm sure over time it will be." he nodded. "You just need to get better."

"I sound so broken in that sentence." Alessia laughed lightly. "Call me broken doll alessia." She said making fun of herself.

"I didn't mean it like that." he said.

"You've got to admit," She nudged him with her shoe in the arm a bit. "You never knew where I was gonna take you or surprise you with.. I'm a ball of excitement.. and disappointment all rolled into one."

"You definitely keep me on my toes." he nodded. "That's for sure."

"Admit you missed me a tiny bit.. more than you are angry at me."
