Post Takeover

Trevor had just finished his match and during his first Takeover, he was able to successfully win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. His first title in the company. It was an emotional night for sure as he was already super nervous to take on an idol and friend in Evan Bourne, but to win it during Wrestlemania week added to it.

Once he arrived backstage, he shook hands with higher ups and Evan, then he made his way out of gorilla where he was congratulated by others as well. "Thank you." he said, shaking hands as someone else approached him.

"My Man!" Adeel Alam rushed his friend and hugged him. "You were awesome! What a match!"

"Ahhh, thank you babe!" he said, hugging him in return. "I can't even believe that happened tonight. I'm still in such shock!"

"I can! You were killing it on NXT TV and then you knocked it out the park tonight!" Adeel told him assuredly. "Was awesome to watch! Plus Derek's reactions in the crowd, hilarious!"

"I'm just glad that I was able to even compete on TV but to be able to be on a Takeover show for a title? Insanity." Trevor shook his head. "So I've heard. I have to watch the reactions later on, though I'm sure fans already have memes and gifs uploaded on social media."

"You deserve it. You and I have been doing this since we were teenagers and have been around the world. You're not exactly a rookie! And the fans love you, not as much as Derek," He joked. "You're going to laugh so hard when you see it. But you got over! It's awesome!"

"It's weird. We're rookies but also kind of veterans of the business at the same time." he snorted. "I can't wait and hell yeah, I guess I did. Hopefully I can continue to stay this way."

"We get to work in large rings now, with props that won't kill us and train in the best facility. Not bad for a couple rookie vets," Adeel chuckled. "And I think you will. The spots you do keep them hungry for more. The more we fly the more they buy into us." He laughed.

"Big facts." Trevor nodded. "When we get old, our bodies are going to hate us so much for all this flying and flipping."

"We should probably start doing DDP Yoga or something in penance." Adeel agreed. "But I feel more in control in the air than anywhere else, as weird as that is."

"That's...actually a good idea. We'd be one step ahead." he said. "And I get what you mean. If I'm even walking I'm like what the heck, this is wrong." he joked.

"I heard it helps a lot actually. We'll make a point to look into it." Adeel nodded. "And I do ground work in the ring and I'm like...can I use the ropes yet? Ha!"

"For sure." Trevor agreed. "Yeah, something is wrong with us." he snorted. "But I don't hate it."

"Me neither. Plus, Matt is the same way, and now Kacy." Adeel laughed. "So there's something wrong in more than just us."

"It's honestly a sickness at this point."

"It's even contagious." Adeel joked.

"Everybody is going to be flipping and flying in the PC."
